Project Overview

Sound Decision was referred to the  L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills through a consultant to undertake a two-phase renovation of the property’s commercial audio systems. The first phase focused on a complete overhaul of the first-floor audio infrastructure, while the second phase involved a full redesign of the rooftop audio experience.

The lower-level system encompassed two dining areas, a lounge, a bar, and the check-in area. For this portion of the project, Sound Decision selected 1 SOUND Cannon Series speakers, chosen for their ability to deliver premium, high-performance sound in a compact form factor. The speakers were strategically mounted in room corners to project outward evenly across the spaces, creating consistent coverage and rich audio at comfortable low-volume listening levels. A Symetrix DSP processor and Powersoft amplifiers provided system processing and amplification. Powersoft’s dedicated tunings and presets for 1 SOUND speakers allowed the system to perform at its highest potential.

For the rooftop audio system, Sound Decision utilized several different models from the 1 SOUND speaker collection to address the unique acoustic requirements of each area. Around the poolside, Tower speakers were installed on custom mounts integrated into the planters. These speakers are engineered to project sound evenly over long distances while minimizing rear dispersion, helping reduce audio impact on neighboring properties.

Wall-mounted subwoofers were distributed throughout the rooftop space to provide balanced low-frequency reinforcement, while the bar and adjacent seating areas featured 1 SOUND Cannon C6 Series speakers for detailed, high-quality coverage.
