Project Overview
Robbins Brothers Pasadena partnered with us to design a distributed audio system for their historic downtown Pasadena retail location. One of the primary challenges was the long distance between the equipment rack and the audio zones, along with the inability to mount speakers to the building’s walls or ceilings due to historic preservation constraints.
To address these challenges, Sound Decision selected Sonance Commercial surface-mount speakers paired with LEA Connect amplifiers and a Symetrix DSP processor. The system allows staff to conveniently control volume levels across multiple audio zones using an LCD wall controller located upstairs, while the equipment rack remains securely housed in the downstairs IT room.
Sound was distributed across multiple areas without becoming obtrusive. Speakers were placed on the top of displays that wrapped around the historic columns.
